I’ve always loved the design of the USS Enterprise – its iconic saucer and nacelles have secured its spot in pop-culture history. Its seemingly simple geometry translates to challenging connections when building with LEGO – hard enough when building at midi- or larger scale. But I like building small. It’s easy on the wallet and space.
When I started, those distinctive shapes and angles of the Enterprise posed quite the challenge. After what seemed like an endless number of attempts and part combinations, everything came together for a very satisfying 5-piece solution. Then I just needed to tackle the Star Trek delta for the stand. I think Scotty would be proud.
