A contingent of BayLUGers represented the club at the Bricks Cascade 2025 convention.  Held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, the event is one of the largest West Coast LEGO brick fan conventions and a Recognized AFOL Networking Event.

BayLUG showcased a collection of LEGO brick creations from its “Once Upon a Time” collaborative build.   Among the many builds, Simone’s and Adam’s castle and medieval town build, with its many moving displays like automated knight jousting, drew in the crowds.  BayLUGers Simone, Adam, Bill, Jen, Andrew, and Leonard all attended and handled show setup and teardown.  Other BayLUGers contributed builds as well.  Other BayLUGers also attended and displayed builds separately.

The BayLUG “Once Upon a Time” build was displayed over the course of the two pubic attendee days, Saturday, May 17th through Sunday, May 18th.  It was estimated that over 7,000 members of the public attended.

We are proud to announce that the BayLUG display was awarded “People’s Choice”, taking home one of the two top prizes given at the convention.  Josh Hanlon of “Beyond the Brick” interviewed the BayLUG team during the convention about the build.  Bill received an individual trophy as well.

Thanks to all the BayLUGers who attended and who participated in the collab this year.
