About Your Paradise City Fire Department

The Paradise City Fire Department services an area of 100 square miles, which includes 10 miles of waterfront, and several acres of unincorporated area around the city, with a population of over 212,800 citizens. The department responds to an average of 50,000 calls for service each year. In addition to emergency responses within Paradise City, the department also participates in countywide and statewide mutual and auto aid agreements. The department provides advanced life support capabilities (paramedic) on every fire engine. The department also provides aircraft fire-fighting and rescue services at both of Paradise City's airports & the NASA Launch Center, hazardous materials response, numerous citizen training programs, and full fire and safety inspections for all businesses and hotels within our response boundaries.

For emergency response purposes, the city is divided into six geographical areas each identified as battalions. Battalion One covers the downtown core of the city. Battalion Four covers the western section/coastline of the city. Battalion Five covers the Paradise City International Airport. Battalion Seven covers the northeastern section of the city. Battalion Thirteen covers the southeastern section of the city. Battalion Seventeen covers the northern section of the city, as well as the Town of Sodor. Each battalion is subdivided into station areas. Paradise City currently has a total of 21 fire stations, staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. These stations are strategically located to provide the citizens a quick and efficient service.

The Paradise City Fire Department operates under the direction of Fire Chief Russell Clark. The Assistant Fire Chief is Bob van Klark. The Fire Marshal is Eddie Burke, Jr.
